Immediate need for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Mother Baby Unit. This is a PRN Float opportunity with Day Shift (7 am - 7 pm) availability and is located in Austell, GA (Onsite) . Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments and provide individualized care for postpartum patients and their newborns using the Nursing Process.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that adapts to the unique needs of diverse families.
• Monitor maternal recovery, including post-surgical care for cesarean deliveries, and provide education on postpartum health, breastfeeding, and infant care.
• Assess newborn health, perform routine screenings, and provide neonatal resuscitation as needed.
• Partner with patients, families, pediatricians, and obstetricians to coordinate seamless care and discharge planning.
• Uphold the highest standards of clinical practice, safety, and compliance (TJC Patient Safety Goals).
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor, fostering a healthy work environment and supporting team development.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key skills; Registered Nurse (RN), Mother-Baby/Postpartum Care, NRP Certification, BLS
• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN License in Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Certifications (Required Upon Hire):
• BLS Certification (AHA or equivalent)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience required. Experience in a Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery, or Postpartum unit is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies. Strong critical thinking, time management, and family education skills. Basic computer proficiency.
