Palm Bay Job Number: 000723 School Year: 2026 FY Position: ParaProfessional- ESOL Subtitle/Areas: STARTING SALARY Based on classification and pay plan for Classified employees: Grade 18 $16.68 p/h (HS Diploma and ParaPro min score 457 or 60 hrs college credit in core curriculum) Grade 19 $17.06 p/h (AA / AS or higher) Must be able to speak Spanish. QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
Bilingual; required to be fluent in English and fluent in the language of the students for the allocated position. Must be approved by District ESOL Coordinator. PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:
Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required.
Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
