Job Description

Our telecommunications engineering client is hiring for CAD Technicians in Exton, PA. This individual will work within Right of Way (ROW) in telecom using AutoCAD. They will plays a crucial role in designing and documenting the placement of telecommunications infrastructure—such as fiber optic cables, poles, and underground conduits—within public or private land areas where access rights are granted.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Create technical drawings for lease exhibits, zoning plans, construction layouts, and ROW maps using AutoCAD.
• Interpret field notes and survey data to accurately reflect site conditions.
• Revise drawings based on redlines from project managers or clients.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal ROW regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to integrate design requirements.
• Maintain drawing standards and update internal tracking tools for deliverables.
• Plot, scan, and reproduce drawings for submission and archival.

📐 Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD , especially in 2D drafting and layout design.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure , including aerial and underground systems.
• Understanding of ROW regulations and permitting processes.
• Attention to detail for accurate drafting and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with field teams and stakeholders.
• Time management to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

AutoCAD

Highschool degree

Compensation:

$20/hr to $21/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
