Job Title: Electrical Construction Specialist & Mechanical Construction Specialist

Location: Louisa, VA

Sector: Hyperscale Data Centers

Metric DCX are now seeking an onsite Electrical & Mechanical Construction Specialist to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of extensive experience in large-scale commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop schedules, manage execution, and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits to ensure adherence to design, code, and safety requirements.
• Review and approve electrical shop drawings, submittals, and manage third-party testing and inspections.
• Document and track project progress through reports, photos, meetings, and updates across all project phases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; 10+ years of construction experience may substitute.
• 7+ years of experience on large commercial construction projects with deep knowledge of systems, installations, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and subcontractors, with strong planning, scheduling, and resource management skills.
• Proficient in reading electrical drawings and specifications, using Procore and Microsoft Office, and managing project documentation.
• Preferred qualifications include safety regulation knowledge, PMP/CCM certification, and experience on data center or complex electrical projects.
